The Gathering was created with the goal of establishing the most user-friendly posting site on the web. While still relatively small and just over a year old, it's an excellent site to join if you would like a smaller environment to make new friends with different viewpoints. We post on virtually everything, and we're always seeking new, intelligent members. Those posting have an eclectic range of interests, and each person has a unique personality; not pre-subscribed stereotype.

All members are exceedingly polite, and all allow one another to post views that may differ from normalcy with the promise that all posts are to be read with an open mind. The posting environment is unlike any other that I've encountered on the web as there is virtually zero hostility. Because of the varying range of interests, several users open doors to others to facilitate introduction to different activities and lifestyles. I know that I have grown to become a better, well-rounded kid because of the exposure to monumental, differing viewpoints presented in modest proportion and suggested with ultimate courtesy.

It's essentially a resource to fortify one's personal beliefs and discourage the sweeping trend of seeking homogenization.
